DI4D Reveals A New Head-Mounted Camera

DI4D presented a new version of its wireless head-mounted camera system, which is already available. The device is described as a high-end solution for facial motion capture that delivers the highest quality data under high-pressure production conditions. The company noted that it is also the only commercially available HMC that’s optimized for 4D facial performance capture using DI4D’s post-processing service. The device also supports third-party facial animation solutions.
The new headset features a stereo pair of high-quality 4MP cameras and a fine focus adjustment mechanism for maximum sharpness. There's also an onboard diffuse LED lighting panel to make sure that illumination is even across the actor’s face.
