Concept Artists for films, Thomas du Crest, who was involved in the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe movies such as Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers: Endgame, as well as non-superhero projects as The Sandman, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, has shared the original design of the Gulper from the Amazon's Fallout TV series.

Gulpers are relatively new to the Fallout universe: these giant mutated creatures, descendants of pre-War salamanders, were introduced in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor and later appeared again in Fallout 76. Thomas du Crest was in charge of reimagining Gulpers for the recent Fallout TV show, basing his 3D model on in-game designs and concept sketches.

"I had the honor to design the Gulper for the Fallout TV show! Based on a first pass of sketches by Ben Kovar and the video game as a reference, I was in charge of doing the final version.

My 3D models were then passed on to the prop department, to make an on-set reference model, and to Framestore who nailed the CG versions. I'm very happy to see how extremely faithful the designs were translated to the screen!", said Thomas du Crest.
