Learn How to Simulate a Hyperrealistic 3D Cobweb Using Blender

NENGHUO shared a new tutorial showing how to use Geometry Nodes to create a neat spider web with tiny water drops on it.

NENGHUO, a well-known 3D Artist and tutorial-maker, has recently shared a new insightful tutorial, explaining how you can create your own cobweb generator in Blender that lets you create unique and customizable webs, complete with tiny water droplets on them, in just a single click of a button.

In his latest tutorial, the creator showcased two different versions of the setup: a simpler one and a more complicated one comprising more nodes. Both setups, offering varying levels of detail, are powered by the software's Geometry Nodes toolset. You can watch the full tutorial embedded above or by visiting NENGHUO's YouTube channel.

Besides the tutorial, the artist has also shared the generator itself, which can be purchased via Blender Market or Gumroad. Much like the systems described in the tutorial, the setup comes with a variety of customizable parameters, including the shape of the spider web, the strength of the suspension, water droplets, wind-blowing effects, physical simulation, and more. You can get the generator by clicking this link.

We also recommend checking out NENGHUO's earlier tutorials if you would like to learn more about creating mind-blowing artworks using Blender:
