Shakedown Hawaii: Glorious Pixel Art Sequel to Retro City Rampage

Vblank Entertainment has finally announced a direct sequel to its awesome isometric game Retro City Rampage. It will be available for PC and consoles.

It’s been almost three years since the release of Retro City Rampage. The game was warmly received by critics and gamers and managed to find its way to a number of different consoles. Now Vblank Entertainment is ready to announce a direct sequel called Shakedown Hawaii. It’s coming to PS4, PS Vita, 3DS and PC. The trailer looks absolutely amazing.

Shakedown Hawaii brings the Vblank open world universe into the 16-bit era, powered up with destructible environments and an arsenal of supercharged weapons. Taking place some thirty years after the events of Retro City Rampage, the game follows The Player as he comes out of early retirement to rebuild his neglected corporate empire.

The game has amazing visuals. It’s all pixel art, with some lovely animation and exciting special effects. You can shoot, run, jump and drive! You will be able to play Shakedown Hawaii at PlayStation Experience on December 5-6th. Can’t wait to see the project in action. The game is being developed by  Brian Provinciano (author of the first game) and a small dedicated team.
