Every so often, when the community's patience is stretched thin and questions about progress hang in the air, we receive updates from previously quiet developers.

That's exactly what happened with The Wolf Among Us 2. The game's developers, Telltale, emerged from their silence, which is 'because we’ve been heads down, focusing on the promise of #TWAU2', to reassure the community that development is on track for the highly anticipated sequel. Along with their update, they shared four new screenshots from the latest build, which are all included in this article.

The most recent major update on The Wolf Among Us 2 before this one took place in March of last year. The release was postponed to 2024, a decision made by the studio to avoid the industry-common crunch and uphold their commitment to not releasing an incomplete game.

Now that 2024 is here, fans are eager for news. The developers didn't disappoint (or they did), releasing an update on the game's progress and stating, “The work continues.”

If you are not very familiar with the game, the Wolf Among Us, developed by the creators of "The Walking Dead" — the 2012 Game of the Year — is a riveting thriller rooted in the acclaimed Fables comic books. Given its impressive score of 97 on Steam from over 26k reviews, it's no wonder that many are eagerly waiting for the sequel.

Initially announced at The Game Awards 2019, the forthcoming sequel will be developed using the Unreal Engine and is slated to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. In 2022, the yet-to-be-named sequel got a trailer.

At the start of the last year, the studio successfully raised $8 million to fund the development of The Wolf Among Us 2 and The Expanse.
