The former Managing Director of Ubisoft Toronto and executive producer on some of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises, Jade Raymond, is going to open a new studio in Montreal. She joined the Electronic Arts team to work on a set of projects including Amy Hennig’s Star Wars game.

Aside from working at the new Motive Studio, Raymond will collaborate closely with the team at Bioware and oversee the Visceral Games studio. She talked about this in a message posted on the official Motive Studio page. Jade said that she is a big fan of games developed by Visceral and looks forward to working with the team of talented developers led by Scott Probst.

Raymond also added that she has known Amy for many years and admires her work on the Uncharted franchise. Raymond is thrilled that she will get to work with Amy on her first big project. Hennig was the former creative director of the Uncharted developer, Naughty Dog. She left the studio in October of 2014 and has been working on a Star Wars project for Electronic Arts since then.

Raymond has a long track record in the game industry. She started as a programmer for Sony and after working for Electronic Arts she joined Ubisoft Montreal. Here she served as a producer of the Assassin’s Creed series. Jade also worked as the executive producer of Assassin’s Creed 2, Watch Dogs, and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
