Wargaming announced a reboot of the Master of Orion turn-based strategy game. The series returns after more than a decade of silence.

The Master of Orion reboot will offer gamers updated gameplay and better graphics. Wargaming got hands on the Master of Orion license back in 2013 during the Atari bankruptcy auction. The Belarusian company will now make the first game in the series since the Master of Orion 3 released in 2003. To develop the new strategy properly, Wargaming decided to hire Argentinian-based NGD Studios as it has a lot of the main members of the original Master of Orion team.

Developers promise an orchestral score from the composers of original game and an updated user interface. According to the announcement, the game will also boast voiceovers by famous actors and new user tutorials. The CEO of Wargaming Victor Kislyi said that his company returns to its roots with Master of Orion. He pointed out that the iconic gameplay helped the series to stand out and the developer team is happy to work with NGD Studios to restore Master of Orion to former glory.
