Zelda-Style NPR 3D Environment Made in Unreal Engine 5

The artwork marks the beginning of its creator's journey to the world of 3D Art.

Li Xiaoha, a beginning Environment Artist, has recently unveiled Port of Abyss, a gorgeous stylized 3D environment and its creator's first-ever digital scene. Resembling the landscapes of the most recent The Legend of Zelda titles, the scene portrays a lush and picturesque island with a gorgeous small town serving as its centerpiece. According to Li, the environment was set up in Unreal Engine 5 using ZBrush, Blender, Substance 3D Painter/Designer, and Marmoset Toolbag.

The author also wrote a short story describing the history behind Port of Abyss:

"Dozens of nautical miles north of the Qianyu, people found this mysterious island, because of the bottomless pit in the middle of the island, which leads to the dark cave-like abyss, and the adventurers named this island the Abyss. The vast majority of adventurers chose this place to land on the island, so the port gradually grew."

Li also shared a closer look at the scene's assets and materials:
