2.8-Dimensional Comics by Plastiek

Have you heard about the project Plastiek? It is a small team of two artists who make digital comics that discover new limits of visual storytelling.

The team uses a technology called A2.8DCF (which stands for 2.8-dimensional comic framework). The magic here is about drawing viewers into richly animating letting them control the viewing angle.

The Plastiek has a free app by the way. You can get it to find out what it feels like. Find the links here.

“We looove comics. So we want to make the most awesome comics possible! We want to Create an amazing experience that our own inner child would love to read.”

The team, as we’ve mentioned before, consists of two people. The first is André Bergs, a 39-year-old artist from the Netherlands. “He was raised on a steady diet of comics, games, and animation…and still shows no sign of having had enough.”

The second artist is Thawatchai ‘Boat’ Chunhachai. “He lived in Bangkok for 33 years and has worked in the animation industry for more years than he’d like to admit.”

They also have this awesome Avengers fan art:
