3D Artist Aims for Photorealism With This Stunning Seascape Scene

100% Blender-made.

Have a look at this beautiful 3D animation that looks like it was taken straight out of a live-action fantasy pirate-themed Hollywood blockbuster, created by 3D Generalist and aspiring Game Developer Swapnil Choubey.

Combining a custom-made sea simulation, a breathtaking background inspired by Alaskan landscapes, and a highly-detailed schooner model, the environment was set up with the goal of achieving photorealism in Blender, a popular open-source 3D software.

As mentioned by the author, the entire scene was made exclusively in Blender with the help of such add-ons as A.N.T.Landscape, used for the mountain, FLIP Fluids for the water splashes, Geo-Scatter for the tree models, scattered using the particle system, BlenderKit for the ship model, bushes, and foreground trees.
