A video game publisher and developer 3D Realms announced it is working on the new AAA project. According to the company, the upcoming game is going to become the most ambitious project since Prey, Max Payne, and Duke Nukem 3D.
No specific details were revealed, however, it was reported that the game studio Slipgate Ironworks which also worked on Graven and Ghostrunner will be responsible for the development. According to Frederik Schreiber, the CEO of 3D Realms, a "next-gen game" will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, based on an IP of a cult classic. The company announced it is currently recruiting staff for the project looking for a senior level designer, senior programmer, porting programmer, and producer.
3D Realms is a part of the Swedish game publisher Embracer Group, which also owns More from Gearbox, THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, virtual reality game company Force Field and Vertigo Games.
3D Realms is best known for the cult series Max Payne and Duke Nukem, although there have been no games in these series for years. It still hasn't been disclosed what the new title will be and whether it'll be the next part of the famous franchise or a separate game.
