80 People Are Working on Half-Life: Alyx

Some of the team's members also worked on the original Half-Life.

According to the latest Reddit Ask Me Anything session, 80 people are developing Valve’s new VR game set in the Half-Life universe. It means that the company assembled the largest single team they have ever had working on a game.

“Right now it’s around 80 people,” the team wrote, “which puts it as the largest single team we’ve ever had at Valve.” Another cool thing they confirmed is that some people working on Alyx also worked on the original Half-Life.

The game is, of course, primarily the team's main weapon to drive sales of its Valve Index SteamVR headset (comes with a free copy of Alyx), so it's pretty obvious that they will use everything they have to release a solid game.

Are you excited about the upcoming release?
