A Cool Realistic Raindrop Material Made in Substance 3D Designer

Check out this awesome realistic raindrop material Environment Artist Chris Hodgson created in Substance 3D Designer and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 4.

The material is available for purchase on ArtStation.

The pack contains:

  • 1 x Raindrop material (.sbs) including any dependencies.
  • 1 x Raindrop material (.sbsar) with some exposed parameters. 
  • Material outputs exported at 4096x4096 resolution in 16-bit .tif format
  • 3 x Toolbag scenes (.tbscene) used to render out the material

You will need Substance 3D Designer 12.1.1 or newer and Marmoset Toolbag v4.04 to open the files. Hodgson mentions that the graph is saved at 2048x2048 for speed upon opening in Substance 3D Designer and the Substance graph has been optimized and fully commented on, so you can learn from the processes used to create the material.
