Dark Continent has received a Steam page, and Armagan is enriching it by bringing in more content.
Reddit user Fantastic-Limit-4836, aka Armagan, is a solo developer who has been working on a fast-paced, skill-driven action MMORPG named Dark Continent for the past two years using Unity. Recently, the project achieved a new milestone by launching its Steam page. And along with this announcement, they've released a three-minute trailer showing its gameplay:
Precision, timing, and reflexes decide every battle. "Thrown into a world fractured by chaos, you'll carve your own path through relentless combat, epic boss encounters, and a world shaped by movement," writes the game's description. There will be various unique mounts, both flying and ground-based, available for riding and traveling through ancient battlefields in the massive world.
Armagan was a software engineer with ten years of experience before quitting their job to focus on the project, handling all the coding, client, backend, and network by themselves. Meanwhile, they also created Various development tools to create skills, items, quests, gathering systems, mobs, and bosses. The solo developer highlighted the game's main selling point: its fast-paced, non-tab-target, skill-driven action combat, which will bring fun and satisfaction, along with challenging yet enjoyable boss fights.
After two years of hard work, the majority of the core systems have been completed, but Armagan aims to enrich and polish the game by introducing more content.

Working on a game almost alone is a tough task that could make one burn out, yet Armagan seems to be enjoying it, as they said: "These past two years have been the best of my life. As someone with an engineer's mindset, just seeing this game come to life has been more than worth it."
So far, Dark Continent does not have a release window or any additional footage to share yet. However, we may hear more from the developer soon.
