A Free Collection of 3D Environment Scans
24 May, 2017
Take a look at a free collection of a dozen raw environment scans from the pacific northwest by Jeffrey Ian Wilson. The collection includes 5 ground, 3 rock and 4 tree scans with some scans extracting multiple elements. Use these scans to create your own custom game or VFX assets. Each scan is a minimum of 15 million triangles featuring a 16k color map.

Get the scans

What is more, you can master the scanning process and create your own pack of scans with a guide by Jeffrey called “Welcome to 3D Scanning for Games and VFX“.  This course will tell you about the process of scanning an environment of rocks, tree trunks, ground cover and a mountain stream. Use over 3,800 images to learn the secrets of processing scan data for use in the Unreal Engine. You can now get this huge guide pack for $19.99 with $40 off.
