A Great Grapple Surfing Mechanic Made in Unity

The mechanic combines familiar hoverboarding and Spider-Man-like ropes to change directions.

Game Developer AndreSargeant, known for creating 2D action-adventure Aethyr, released a new demo that showcases a satisfying movement mechanic. This time, the developer showed grapple surfing, a cool way of moving around using a hoverboard and Spider-Man-like ropes to change directions and add momentum. According to the developer, the mechanic was created for an upcoming "high mobility, high action, high fantasy game with an immersive world" using Unity URP.
