A Real-Life Version of Eric Cartman from South Park

Travis Davids imagined a different version of the iconic character using 3D tools and AI.

Travis Davids presented his version of Eric Cartman from South Park as a real human. The artist mixed both 3D and 2D workflows to create Cartman, and the face was actually created using artificial intelligence.

Travis uploaded a 3D rendered image of a face to Artbreeder and made the AI-based tool generate a believable face. He also used another AI-based app Faceapp to add more weight to the character's face and generate additional expressions.

Software used:

  • Daz Studio for generating a base character
  • Marvelous Designer and Zbrush for the creation of Eric Cartman's outfit
  • Blender for additional scene props and accessories
  • Cinema 4D and Octane Render to assemble and render the scene
  • Photoshop for post-work and merging the AI face
