A Realistic Ocean Shader Set Up in Unreal Engine 5

Dylan Browne shared some incredible demos showcasing an upcoming update to Ocean System for Rendered Cinematics.

Feature Film VFX Artist at ModelFarm Dylan Browne, known to many for the incredible Unreal Engine-powered projects, has recently shared a small collection of demos showcasing an ultra-realistic ocean shader set up in Unreal Engine 5.

According to the artist, the videos demonstrate the progress of implementing a single-layer water to Ocean System for Rendered Cinematics, Dylan's Blueprint/Material based ocean system that can be used to render high-quality cinematics. The newly-added improvements allow one to set up translucency and scattering and are set to be added to the system with the next Marketplace release.
