A UE5 Hack-and-Slash Action Game With Time Dilation Mechanics

Zefram has shared a new gameplay demo for SuperSimmer.

Following a two-month hiatus, Indie Game Developer Zefram has taken to Twitter once again to provide an update on SuperSimmer, an Unreal Engine 5-powered fast-paced hack-and-slash action game with time-dilation-focused combat and highly polished character design.

Formerly known as Super1337, the game promises to offer wave-based survival gameplay based on a combination of finesse and strategic thinking, prompting players to carefully consider move sets and combos within the brief intervals of bullet time they are given. The highlight of the game, however, is its brutal and bloody sword-wielding combat that lets players dismember hordes of zombies and shower the surroundings with copious amounts of blood.

The recently revealed demo showcased SuperSimmer's stylish combat animations, with the developer mentioning that the latest update specifically addressed the balancing of time-dilation elements in the gameplay.

Zefram further noted that the first arena level is nearing completion, expressing confidence that there won't be any more pauses in development and saying that they are "back at it for the foreseeable future".
