A Workshop On Subtle Performance For Animated Characters

The Gnomon team has recently released a two-part Subtle Performance Workflow workshop.

The new course features a complete guide to naturalistic character animation by Industrial Light & Magic lead animator Ted Lister.

Over 10 hours of video training will give you tons of tips on full-body and facial animation showing you how to generate realistic character animation for visual effects work.

The first part discusses creating full-body animation: blocking, breathing, final polish, setting up camera animation to frame the shots, and more.

The second part covers facial animation, discussing the structure and musculature of the face and showing how to create a facial pose library, giving lip-sync techniques, plus more.
