Abandoned Courtyard Scene Made With RealityScan & UE5

The goal of the project was to set up fully-fledged 3D environment "without having to do a lot outside of the engine".

Have a look at Pindi Expedition, a realistic-looking 3D environment created by Quixel's Anzal Muhammad, Raza Haider Ali, Saulat Mehmood, and Majid Azim. Based on an abandoned courtyard in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, the scene was created using photogrammetry via Epic's RealityScan app and Unreal Engine 5's modeling tools.

According to the team, the goal of the project was to test the efficiency of deploying assets scanned from a phone into Unreal Engine and to evaluate the speed at which they could set up a scene or modify assets directly within the engine.
