Activision Laying Off Hundreds of People

The massive cut will be announced next Tuesday. This action was caused by the slowing sales and the desire to centralize operations.

Bloomberg reported that Activision Blizzard will announce some huge workforce cuts on Tuesday, next week. Hundreds of people may be left out of work. In 2017 more than 9800 people are employed by Activision Blizzard. With fewer mouths to feed the company executives want to lighted up the financial burden, centralize the production, do the necessary restructuring and eventually boost profit.

Activision Blizzard is going through a rough patch currently. Last November the company revealed that Overwatch and Hearthstone finally started to show declining numbers. Destiny 2: Forsaken disappointed in terms of sales and Activision parted ways with Bungie. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 did very well, but it seems it wasn’t enough.
