Adobe Released Substance 3D Designer 12.3

The new version sees updates to Substance model graphs.

Adobe releases Substance 3D Designer 12.3, adding support for subgraphs, so you can now reuse a set of nodes in various other graphs.

Adobe also introduced output nodes for Substance model graphs, you can have one or more outputs in your graph. Each output will correspond to an output pin when your graph is instantiated in another graph.

Thanks to subgraphs and exposed parameters, you can create complex assets and apply infinite variations.

Other improvements include new nodes (Reverse curve, Curve subdivide, Smoothing curve, and Offset curve) and a "Visible If" property that allows hiding or showing parameters based on the status of other parameters. Additionally, there is a new Substance model graph window available for graphs and Welcome and What's New panels.

Adobe also fixed scaling issues for HDPI screens and added Apple silicon support for the Steam version of Substance 3D Designer.

You can purchase the software for $149.99 on Steam or through Substance 3D Texturing subscriptions for $19.99/month or $219.88/year, as well as Substance 3D Collection subscriptions costing $49.99/month or $549.88/year.
