Adult Swim and Crunchyroll shared the first trailer for the upcoming Blade Runner: Black Lotus anime series which will tell a story between the events of Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049.
The 13-episode series is led by directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama, produced by Alcon Entertainment and animation studio Sola Digital Arts. Shinichiro Watanabe will be managing the project as a creative producer.
Jessica Henwick will lend her voice to Elle, a replicant created for mysterious purposes. The story is set in 2032 Los Angeles where Elle learns new details about herself. She discovers she is an expert at fighting with a katana has a bunch of other skills.
