An Artist Shows How You Can Fake a Waterfall in Blender

Corey Corza demonstrated a performance-friendly way to set up a 3D waterfall.

Digital Artist and Programmer Corey Corza, known to many for his incredible add-ons, has recently shared a brief demo presenting a clever performance-friendly technique that could greatly benefit your game projects and 3D environments.

In the demo, Corza demonstrated how to fake a waterfall in 3D without the need for resource-taxing simulations by leveraging Bezier Curves and Volumetrics to set up the flowing water and the accompanying effects. As usual, the creator utilized Blender, a free and open-source 3D modeling, texturing, rendering, animation, and VFX software, to bring this project to life.
