Ki Yama has once again showcased their latest rig with a smooth animation.
In case you missed it, a month ago, CG Designer Ki Yama offered a look at an awesome 3D rig that allows its creator to convert a mechanical warrior into a fully-fledged Transformer, capable of shifting between two forms. Recently, the creator provided a much-anticipated update on the project, showcasing the rig once again with a smooth 3D animation.
Still WIP, the transformer model has been refined since the previous update, now actually resembling a car/mecha-warrior thanks to the addition of textures. According to the author, much like the rig itself, the animation was made using Blender, a free and open-source 3D software for modeling, texturing, rendering, VFX, and animation, which recently got updated to version 4.1.
And here are some of the earlier demos shared by Ki Yama:

Earlier, 3D Artist YSK also presented a stunning Blender-made rig made for a 3D Ex-S Gundam model, which allowed said model to seamlessly transition between the mech warrior and the G-Cruiser forms, resulting in one of the smoothest mechanical transformation sequences ever created:
