Apex Legends Now Has More Than 100 Million Players

This is a huge achievement for Respawn Entertainment.

Apex Legends has amassed more than 100 million players. The information comes from the game's official  Twitter page. This is a serious achievement and a huge milestone that the game managed to get after more than 2 years after its release.

For those of you unfamiliar, Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. In Apex Legends, up to 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos land on an island and search for weapons and supplies before attempting to defeat all other players in combat. The available play area on the island shrinks over time, forcing players to keep moving or else find themselves outside the play area which can be fatal. The final team alive wins the round. The game is set in the same science fiction universe as Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

We should remind you, that Apex Legends achieved 25 million and 50 million milestones during the first month after its release. In light of that, it might seem that getting the 100-million-players achievement after more than two years after the game's release is not that great. But we must remind you, that Battle Royale games are still very popular, and with such giants as Fortnite and PUBG dominating the genre, it is not easy for the other Battle Royal games to compete. However, the 100 million milestone shows that Apex Legends is still going strong and has features that attract new players.
