Marvels of the Modern Arch-viz

Jesus Selvera pushes the boundaries of arch-viz with his Apoco77 House.

Jesus Selvera, character artist and generalist from Mexico, presented his marvelous project called ‘Apoco77 House‘. If you’ve always wanted to check the limits of software like ZBrush, 3ds Max and Substance Painter, Apoco77 might be the one. There are so many little details here, that it seems you can touch the books and these handmade glasses if you stretch out your hand.

Jesus has been working mostly in the indie and video game industry as character and environment artist, but also managed to find some time for his outstanding archviz project.

Here are some of the artist’s awards:

  • CGtalk – cgsociety award winner x4
  • 3DTotal x3 times frontpage awards and book publication
  • Best of Evermotion x3.
  • DevianArt Daily Deviation.
  • Expose Publication book
  • CGhub Award winner Frontpage Publications

He has also worked for giants like Microsoft, Sony, Coca-Cola, Peugeot, Heineken, Pepsi and other companies.

The artist used 3ds Max and ZBrush for modeling, Photoshop and Substance Painter for texturing and Corona for the rendering part, and Nuke for post-production.

You can buy the models from the scene on Turbosquid here.
