Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard is said to potentially suffer from a lawsuit which may change the game’s future. The title is set in a world of dinosaurs, and it has already become one of the most successful Early Access games both Steam and Xbox One. But there might be troubles from game designer Jeremy Stieglitz.

Kotaku states that Stieglitz is now being sued by his former employer Trendy Entertainment.

After leaving Trendy in August 2014, Stieglitz agreed not to engage in any “competitive activities” for a year or encourage any other Trendy employees to join him in leaving. Trendy states he did both.

Ark developer Studio Wildcard has Stieglitz’s wife as a co-founder and a half dozen staff from Trendy.

It is also stated that Stieglitz copied technology from his time at Trendy to use for Ark.

The future of this lawsuit is yet to be discovered with another hearing date set for 27th April. There is even a possibility of game to be pushed from marketplaces until the matter is settled.
