Axiom 2.2 for Houdini Released

The update makes the fluid solver even more memory efficient and adds native Metal support in public beta on macOS.

Matt Puchala released Axiom 2.2 – a small update for the sparse GPU accelerated volumetric fluid solver for computer graphics and visual effects.

The update makes Axiom "5% more memory efficient" and has a beta version of the solver running natively on Metal for Mac users.

Additionally, it now works with Initialize Simulation OPs when making flipbooks or rendering.

Axiom works with Houdini 18.0+ on Windows, macOS, or Linux. The commercial node-locked licenses cost $399; floating licenses – $499, while the Indie node-locked license is $99. The software can be used for free in Houdini Apprentice and Educational.
