Bethesda Says There Will Be More Content and Updates for Starfield in 2024

Its first DLC, a new Creation Kit, and more.

To conclude 2023, Bethesda posted an article, sharing its plans for Starfield's future and promising that something big is ahead of us.

First thing first, the company will release its first major expansion called Shattered Space, which is set to arrive in 2024 and bring new story content, locations, gear, and more.

In early 2024, Bethesda will also release modding tools for the game, including an exporter and a new Creation Kit. "With the scale and systems in Starfield, we can't wait to see what you come up with," the developer added.

Moving forward, Bethesda plans to release updates for Starfield approximately every six weeks starting from February 2024. The company also noted that its team had checked fans' feedback and they promised to introduce city maps, new ways to travel, and improved ship customization to enhance the gameplay experience. The game will also offer flexible "Difficulty" settings, allowing players to adjust parameters such as carrying capacity, "cargo access distance, ship damage, vendor credits, how you suffer afflictions, new survival mechanics, and more."

Bethesda also shared an infographic detailing some statistics about Starfield, check it out below:
