The game will be released next year.
Gearbox Publishing announced an artistic hand-drawn cooperative adventure Blanc developed by Casus Ludi. The game follows the journey of a wolf cub and a fawn stranded in a snowy wilderness that must work together to find their families.
The creators promise an emotional story suitable for both adults and children, a beautiful hand-crafted black-and-white world, text-free gameplay and storytelling, and a soothing soundtrack.
Each animal has its own complementary strengths that will help you navigate the landscapes with simple controls using only two buttons and movement. Take control of the cub and the fawn and guide them through the environment, unforgiving weather, and other obstacles. Build a relationship together locally on the same screen or from far away with online play.
"Blanc is a passion project for us, and it is our first video game title," said Florent De Grissac, founder and game designer at Casus Ludi. "With Blanc, we want to create a meaningful experience without antagonism, based on mutual aid and empathy, for everyone to enjoy no matter their skill level."
The game will be released in February 2023 on Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
