How big is Blender? It’s pretty big. According to the most recent press release from Blender Foundation (via Cgpress), this 3d modeling software is being downloaded over a half a million times per month. During 2016 alone, more than 6.5 copies of software were downloaded.
That’s some great numbers, especially if you consider that they don’t include experimental builds, test builds and other stuff. You do have to consider that the software is free and it’s available for both Mac and PC. There’s no information as to whether all the downloaded copies are actively used.
