Blizzard is Working on New Mobile Games

Recent job postings suggest that the famous studio is looking for skilled mobile developers.

Dot Esports reports that Blizzard is already starting to look towards its next big game release, probably it’s a mobile title. The company published a new job posting on Blizzard’s website. The team is seeking a software engineer for an unannounced project. The programmer is going to focus on “Blizzard’s mobile gaming efforts”. Mobile games development experience is required.

So far Blizzard has released only one mobile title Hearthstone, which became immensely popular and proved to be very lucrative for the company. Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce called mobile gaming “one of the key spaces for conscious discussion”, so it’s safe to say the company i eager to create more games in this field. It would be awesome to see Overwatch or StarCraft on mobile.

Blizzard,  like many other big studios, is constantly working on new projects, trying to find new mechanics. The so called incubation department for new projects is headed up by another Blizzard co-founder, Allen Adham. One of the new secret projects is the mystery first person game, as Dot Esports reports. Blizzard is also working on a new first-person engine for this game.

You can find the job posting here.
