Blizzard’s Artist Tutorial on Building Characters For Games

Blizzard’s Senior Character Artist Marc Brunet has recently published an incredible tutorial called “3D Hand-painted Character For Games”.

It’s not often that we can see a tutorial, that requires a separate post, but this one is an exception. Blizzard’s Senior Character Artist Marc Brunet published an incredible tutorial called “3D Hand-painted Character For Games“.

First of all, this tutorial lasts 9 hours and 30 minutes. It’s incredibly long and very detailed. Secondly, it covers the entire creation of a game character. There are overall 7 chapters, which follow the smallest details of the 3d model production. There are also countless additional materials: Base Mesh, Final Mesh, High Poly Sculpt, Textures, PSD with 3D assets setup, Photoshop Actions, Custom Mat Cap, Photoshop Gradients and a Concept Sketch. So far it’s one of the best tutorials that you can buy for money, if you are doing 3d modeling for gamedev.

Marc Brunet is also a founder of Cubebrush – one of the biggest and some of the nicest platforms for artists, who want to sell their tutorials, textures, 3d models and other content. It’s a wonderful platform for young artists, who want to watch the production of awesome and high-level productions.

You can purchase Marc Brunet’s “3D Hand-painted Character For Games” for $42.
