Breaking Tree Branches in Blender

Albin Merle did a very nice tutorial, which shows how to break trees with a fracture modifier in Blender.

BlenderNation reported about a very neat tutorial from Albin Merle. It’s a sweet short 8-minute video, which hopefully teaches you how to create a breakable tree with Fracture modifier. It also shows, how to keep it light to bake and render with hair dynamic instancer.

To make it all work, you’ll need to download the FM build, and the tissue add-on just to create a specific vertex weight. Not sure it will work for the production of games, but it does look pretty awesome.
