Canceled Scarface 2 Gameplay Footage Shows the Revive Mechanic

Scarface: Empire was developed by Radical Entertainment.

YouTube channel Mafia Game Videos showed the footage of Scarface: Empire – a canceled sequel to the first game in the series developed by Radical Entertainment, the creator of Prototype.

The video demonstrates the revival mechanic prototype where Tony Montana could kill the enemy after getting downed or could use a crew member's help to survive.

"The idea was Tony was forced out of Miami during the crackdown on drugs in that area/time period, and decided Vegas was a good place to move his empire," said one of the developers. "The game had you building a casino super drug front while taking down casino mob bosses, taking over territory, and building up a crew."

Unfortunately, after 2 years of work, the sequel was shut down by Activision when the studio was acquired by it, and the footage and some concept art are all we have now.
