Vincent Ménier is one of the true gurus of Character Art. Just check out the way he’s dealing with the hair part. The artist has recently presented his new Disney-style project “Mary”. 

The goal with this character was to capture the joy of discovery. Maybe she’s getting her first glimpse at something she’s been long looking for or she’s awed by a surprising sight she just stumbled upon!

Vincent Ménier 

Mary was sculpted and rendered in ZBrush. The render passes were composited in Photoshop.

Vincent was kind enough to share some breakdown images which give a closer look at the production magic.
