CD Projekt Acquires Canadian Studio Digital Scapes

The company now owns a studio in Canada.

CD Projekt announced their company acquired Canadian studio Digital Scapes. The studio, based in Vancouver, has been helping CD Projekt develop Cyberpunk 2077 for three years. It will now be called CD Projekt Red Vancouver joining other teams from Warsaw, Krakow, and Wroclaw.

"We believe that the hugely talented Digital Scapes crew is the perfect foundation upon which to build a wider CD Projekt Red Vancouver team," said Paweł Zawodny, Head of Production and CTO at CDPR.

"This is a great opportunity for Canadian developers to get involved with CD Projekt Red's incredible IP and for CD Projekt Red to tap into Canada's deep talent pool and game-making craft," added Marcin Chady, the head of the acquired studio.

The goal of this acquisition is to have access to worldwide talent and continue development beyond the timezone of the first three studios.
