Hi Elliott, This is a great breakdown and very generous in sharing your process and insights, you came a long way from the vending machine days!
Are you planning on releasing the UE4 project to the public? Or only builds? I'd love to play around with it in the editor if possible!
Check out a pack full of detailed close-up textures of decayed, stone, marble, rock, tiles, and rough surfaces by Hugh Adams that might help you build your next scene.
The pack features:
- 50 Hi-Res files,
- All files in one zip 800MB archive;
- All files are 300 DPI;
- JPG format.
You could use these textures and elements for backgrounds, foregrounds, with layer masks and or with blending modes to create something interesting.
