Grab your chance to take part in the Core game dev competition and win awesome prizes.
Core Games announced the Game Jam competition. The jam will take place from March 4, 2021, till April 5, 2021, with $120,000 prizing.
Your task will be to create an awesome game in Core that would stand out among the rest. To take part in the competition, no prior experience in Core is needed, if you’re new to the software, you can join the live, virtual Fast Track training and learn along the way.
Only 50 creators will be allowed to go further in the competition, submit your portfolio by February 28, 2021, to make sure you’ll be one of the participants.
The conditions for application:
- Must submit a portfolio of games/maps/mods you have previously made on Core or other platforms/engines.
- Must commit to creating a game in Core for a month, starting from March 4 to April 5 of 2021.
The prizes are:
- Best Overall (Grand Prize): $50,000
- Best Tycoon/Simulation Game: $5,000
- Best Shooter Game: $5,000
- Best Homeworld/Social Experience: $5,000
- Best Game Remaster: $5,000
The contest also has Special Awards to win:
- Best Trailer/Machinima: $3,000
- Most Aesthetic: $2,500
- Most Innovative: $2,500
