Learn how to create a nice-looking stylized effect inside the Unity engine.

A Bit Of Game Dev channel on YouTube shared a new step-by-step tutorial that discusses how you can set up an earth slam effect VFX in Unity using a couple of tricks. The effect can then be used in any game project or modified for a custom look.  

The video tutorial explains setting up cracks, dealing with a depth mask, controlling scripts, animating different stages of the surface cracking, and more. You will also learn how to add a rock emerging and a couple of more tricks.
