Creating Stylized 3D Grass With Procreate & Blender

Eris Soares demonstrated how to turn 2D grass into 3D assets.

3D Artist and Art Director behind Zero: Lilium Bloom, an upcoming open-world RPG being created by a Brazilian indie game development studio Lightfarm, Eris "Snail" Soares has shared a new behind-the-scenes demo providing a look at the production process behind the game's stylized grass.

The newly-released demo showcased the neat workflow Eris uses to create the grass, which includes drawing various types of grass and flowers in Procreate, turning them into 3D assets with Blender, and scattering the grass clamps with Unreal's Landscape Grass Type. You can check out the full demo attached above or by clicking this link.
