The game offers players various approaches to combat – you can either smash everyone in fast-paced battles or lay traps and kill the enemies from cover.
Have a look at CULTIC – the upcoming retro shooter created by a solo indie developer Jasozz Games and published by 3D Realms.
The game starts with the death of the protagonist but the developer notes that "death is only the beginning" and in your afterlife, you'll have to fight against the ranks of a mysterious and violent cult whose minds were twisted by the will of an unseen entity.
Players can choose their own approach to combat – you can battle the enemies in a fast way by firing at your foes along the way or running, jumping, and dodging to keep out of damage, or you can choose a slower approach and lay traps, kill the enemies from cover, or weave in between your opponents making them attack each other.
Multiple weapons, like mid-century firearms and explosives, and well-placed shots will help you fight your way through the game and slaughter everything in your path. CULTIC doesn't have a release date yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam.
