Cyberpunk 2077 Is Reportedly Getting a Game of the Year Edition

The special edition is set to release following the Phantom Liberty launch and will apparently include both the base game and the DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 is reportedly getting a Game of the Year Edition which is set to release in 2023.

As reported by Polish news site Stockwatch (spotted by Insider Gaming), during an investor meeting in Warsaw, CEO of CD Projekt Adam Kiciński said that the release of a special edition of Cyberpunk 2077 is quite an obvious decision remaining the audience that CDPR previously released a GOTY version of The Witcher 3 in a similar way.

"It’s the natural order of things – it was the same with The Witcher, which after both expansions was finally released as a Game of the Year Edition and has been on the market that way ever since. The same can be expected in this case," Kiciński reportedly said.

The release of the Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY Edition is set to take place after the launch of Phantom Liberty as well as the release of another "substantial update". The GOTY Edition will seemingly include both the base game and DLC.

CD Projekt RED will be selling the Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY edition at "full price," according to the executive. Apparently, the cost of this version will be $60.

Kiciński also noted that CD Projekt has a positive outlook for long-term sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion. This forecast is apparently based on the company's financial results for the third quarter of 2022 which became the best financial quarter in CD Projekt's history thanks to Cyberpunk 2077's newfound commercial success.
