Daybreak Games Acquired Cold Iron Studios

Two game development studios will continue working on PC and consoles games for the Alien Universe.

Game Developer and publisher Daybreak Games has acquired Cold Iron Studios that is mostly known for working on MMO, action and shooter games. The companies will continue working on a game set to expand the Alien Universe which was under development by Cold Iron Studios.

Daybreak and Cold Iron share the same passion and long history for delivering action-packed multiplayer games for audiences worldwide. In combining our decades of experience developing and launching globally successful multiplayer titles, we’re destined to make great games together.

Daybreak Games has a number of big titles, including H1Z1, EverQuest games, and Battle Royal Game, to name a few. Cold Iron Studios was founded back in 2015 by game developers of Star Trek Online and City of Heroes.
