Artists! You have a chance to design Ubisoft’s 2015 holiday cards and you can win some really cool prizes! Deadline is November 15th!
Christmas is coming and Ubisoft partnered with Punkpost for a new way to send holiday greetings. With the Punkpost app all you have to do is type the message you want to send, select your card and they will handwrite your wish and mail your card anywhere in the world with a functional postal system of course. In terms of the substance of the card, this is where you, the artist comes in. You have until November 15th to submit your art for a chance to have it become one of seven official Ubisoft holiday cards. Here is what they are looking for:
- Something festive and Ubisoft inspired
- Landscape format
- Something that will fit 4.5” x 5.5“
- Maximum 2 colors + white space
The reason for the two-colors, as complicated as it can be, is because Ubisoft is using an old but high-quality letterpress from the 1800s to transform your art into actual plates, so there is no digital printing involved. If you happen to be one of the seven artists who win, there is a prize package that includes a game console (Xbox One, PS4, or Wii U) and four Ubisoft games of your choice. Cool right? Winners will be notified by the email they used to sign-up. Good luck artists… here is a motivational quote from hockey player and NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” So what are you waiting for? Submit your fanart here!
