Bungie Studio shared they have several positions in their incubation division, where they work on multiple projects. The studio emphasized not all of these projects will make it to release, as the department's employees primarily develop and test various ideas. The company also provided an example of one of the games in their incubation division.
One of the studio's favorite incubation projects is "a team-based action game inspired by several genres in a brand-new, science-fantasy universe." The team says the idea is inspired by "fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, life sims, and frog-type games, wrapped up in a lighthearted, comedic world."
Bungie didn't provide much but it's still an exciting opportunity to join the team. Several positions mention the team is exploring a "fun" setting. Among other specialists, Bungie seeks a Lead Gameplay Engineer to work on PvP battles. The position also mentioned you would need experience with Unreal Engine 5.

- Build and maintain production-quality gameplay systems, workflows, and tools in C++ on Unreal 5
- Directly manage and lead several engineers, providing support, technical mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development coaching
- Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build amazing new experiences
- Effectively write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and email communication, with the ability to summarize complex topics and achieve alignment across multiple teams
You can find other positions here. Previously, Bungie apologized for Destiny 2's State of the Game, saying it "wasn’t up to [its] standards" after an onslaught of negative feedback and promised great changes regarding PvP. Learn more here.
