Elden Ring's Publisher Sent a “Friendly PSA” as DLC is Coming Soon

Are you ready yet?

Time is ticking for the launch of Elden Ring's first and only DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, which will lead players into the Realm of Shadow, following the path of Miquella.

However, there's a prerequisite to gain access to the DLC. Now would be a good time to remind you of how you can unlock it:

"Once Mohg is defeated, players have access to his castle where you can find a cocoon holding another character called Miquella. Interacting with this cocoon will transport you to the Land of Shadow and the start of the DLC," according to Gaming Bible.

That is to say, you'll have to beat Mohg, the Lord of Blood, first. If you haven't met the qualifications yet, don't worry. Streamer Cohh Carnage discovered, upon checking Steam's achievements, that only 37.8% of players have defeated Mogh. This shows that the majority of Steam players are with you.

The game's publisher, Bandai Namco, reposted the tweet, kindly reminding underprepared players that they have less than two weeks to gain access to the DLC.

Of course, data from Steam alone don't paint the whole picture. What about console players? Are they doing better or worse? According to Kotaku:

“Xbox achievement trackers suggest the console’s players are doing slightly better, with Shardbearer Mohg unlocked by 54 percent of players, while on PlayStation, it appears to be around the same, 54.67 percent.”

As we approach June 21, the day the DLC will be released, those who have not yet gained access to the DLC should take action now.
