Elden Ring Sales Hit 16.6 Million Copies

The game has sold another 3.2 million copies since March.

Bandai Namco has released a new financial report for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.

As a part of the report, the company revealed that the sales of its hit action RPG Elden Ring has sold over 16.6 million copies worldwide since its launch in February. The figure reflected in the report provides the information as of June 30th meaning that by the time the report was published, sales of the FromSoftware game could have increased by more than a million.

The previous sales update that took place in May stated that the game reached 13.4 million copies by the end of March which means that the title sold another 3.2 million copies in three months.

Elden Ring remains the most successful game in the history of the publisher. According to last month's report from GSD Market Data, the FromSoftware title became the best-selling title in the first half of 2022.

Bandai Namco's report also reveales that the company achieved record-high sales and profits in the quarter. Its revenue rose by 21.5% to almost $1.6 million, while operating profit reached $328,000 (up 64.3% from the same period in the previous year).

It shows the enormous strength of single player games. I'm happy about these results.
